Democratic congressman Brad Sherman is one of the biggest bitcoin haters in congress. He is having a virtual town hall. I vibed up this portal to make it easy to join this town hall and express your concern over your property rights being violated by attacks on self custody.
Congressman Sherman has long expressed his support of civil liberties so the included scripts emphasize protections from a civil liberties stand point. The goal is to meet these people where they are and express that regular people are using bitcoin as a savings technology and deserve the privacy rights afforded to them by the constitution. Long term I plan to make this a legit open source effort with nostr hooks to target all roadblocks in congress but I wanted to get this out with enough time to bug fix, perfect the scripts, and build a base of people to join the fight before this town hall. #bitcoin #selfcustody #privacy
