it's not entirely wrong. just go read up on the history of the leadup to hitler's takeover. there was plenty of shrieking about the end of democracy then. didn't work then, won't work now.

But I am not making a democracy argument here just pointing out similarity in tactics when it comes to a specific issue. Hyperbolic? Perhaps, land mine exploding? No 🤠
