My follower count suddenly dropped off the map, engagement near zero, and sats seem to be locked in alby. Feeling discouraged with nostr. Anyone else experience this? #asknostr

Could only be a client issue really. Just remember that nostr is a 10+ year project with slim chances of real success. No less worth doing though

What do you mean locked in Alby?
From Primal, I see you having 769 followers. From Amethyst, it fluctuates all over the place, landing at different numbers. I'm not sure why.
Maybe a relay issue? I don't think you've lost your followers, but maybe you need more relays if you're not getting as much response as usual.
I'd try a few clients and see what you find. I hope it works out! Your notes are appreciated.

I haven't touched my remarried. Not sure which ones to select. But that may be part of the issue.
I have a wallet with alby, but can't zap. I think maybe I have to get to a min amount to pay for their services before I can use it? Seems strange. About $75 usd and can't send any sats. My blue wallet stopped supporting lightning I think, and it moved to get alby. I probably did it and forgot. I wish I was more technical. I love nostr

Why do you give it slim chances of success? Don't you think Nostr will increasingly grow in adoption as Bitcoin has/may still do?

I've had my alby hub go down a few times and it always bums me out. Makes me not want to use nostr cause I see stuff I would normally zap and can't. Its zapping blue balls I tell ya
Similarly if I see useful things on telegram my instinct is to zap, but all I can send is an emoji 😬 So lame
On nostr, I’m just a user of what other people build (and I like what they’ve built). I used a bunch of clients but I’m 90% Primal now with their built in wallet and default relays. I try to zap as fast as I receive so I don’t really care about it being custodial.
So you paid the 50000 sats to set it up? & 20000 sats/M to host?
No I run it through my S9 server. Cost like 10k sats to establish my own LN node then maybe 15k per year for a channel (1 million sat capacity).

I have been using Amethyst more again since the latest upgrade. I need to prune my relay list not it does inbox-outbox
