Take a look at pubky.tech
Both #Pubky and #Meshtastic are Ed25519.
#Reticulum and #Meshcore are also Ed25519.
Pubky leverages Kademlia for addressing so it doesn't need relays. Using third-party-controlled relays to discover and interact with peers is retarded architecture and is NOT sovereign.

Mesh stuff is my next rabbit hole.
Beautiful code, but MeshCore has infrastructure. In many areas of the world, it just works wherever you are.
Meshtastic is basically dead where I am. Everyone moved to MeshCore which works much better in practice.
But I don't think it's a good idea to flood the radio waves with chatty Nostr data
