While you were busy making fun of the UK for criminalizing free speech, the UN finalized its Cybercrime Convention which will overrule bank secrecy and criminalize hacking, whistleblowing, and security research. The convention, which was finalized last friday, drastically expands government surveillance powers and enables the widespread sharing of personal data between UN member states. The convention mandates the identification, tracing, confiscation and seizure of "proceeds of crime, property, equipment or other instrumentalities" and the collection of real-time traffic and content data on behalf of requesting member states. It further mandates member states to establish criminal offences for "the concealment or disguise of the true nature, source, location, disposition, movement or ownership of or rights with respect to property" and "the conversion or transfer of property [...] for the purpose of concealing or disguising the illicit origin of the property" when committed intentionally. As the Electronic Frontier Foundation explains, the convention includes "documents saved on personal computers or notes stored on digital devices. In essence, this means that private unshared thoughts and information are no longer safe. Authorities can compel the preservation, production, or seizure of any electronic data, potentially turning personal devices into spy vectors regardless of whether the information has been communicated". While the treaty defers most articles to the governance of local laws, it states that states "shall not decline to act [...] on the ground of bank secrecy". Full story:

It’s time for a decentralized evergreen technical manual/treatise, “Asymmetrical Resistance to Tyranny: Tactics, Technologies, Methods, and Timing.”
The UN has no authority over anyone. Any "local" government attempting to enforce the requests of the UN should be met with any liberating force deemed necessary to protect the unalienable right of the individuals. Privacy is an unalienable right. Unalieanable rights are rights that cannot be taken away, not even by 100% majority rule vote. This means those rights cannot be legislated away, they cannot be ruled away by a supreme court, and government agencies cannot attach qualifiers to those rights. People of the globe need to unite in abolishing the UN by any means necessary.
"As the Electronic Frontier Foundation explains, the convention includes "documents saved on personal computers or notes stored on digital devices. " Again, a case for Linux. Your data on your hard disk isn't safe anymore, even if you don't let it leave your computer. And that's what they had in mind from the beginning when this cloud thing came up. All systems should be connected somehow, somewhere. Back to the old central computer days where your computer is just another dead terminal. View quoted note →

the are all a bunch of socialists
Not being part of the UN or consistently telling it to eat shit is a major + for any state I consider moving to. Coming from a European that know he needs to get out in the next couple of years. Ideally I’d fight for the nice society Im from but every smart person I know has a good degree of mind virus infections. I move in a university educated bubble and rarely to never hear someone with some antibodies to these virusses. Should I be fighting for the society or just position myself so I can rapidly get my family and friends out when real shit hits the fan like in the UK? I have a real hard time to see any hope for these societies at this point. At least until the next wars and/or revolutions have ended and we can rebuild.
So here's a very serious question: How does a person truly remain private in communicating their thoughts via an electronic or digital medium? There has to be a way around this. For example, my current npub uses my real name and face. There may come a time when I want to start a fresh one but have it completely segregated and private as possible, yet still communicate with the outside world via Nostr. How does a person truly do this? Some basics: - Never use your real name, face, job description, etc. - Never post pictures of buildings that can be used to identify your location. - Use a VPN before you launch the Nostr application -- But what else? --
TOR is the only way. A VPN company can track everything you do. And governments can force VPN providers to cooperate. The only thing a VPN may work for, is streaming Netflix shit that you can't get in your location.
Living in a certain territory does not include any human as party to any contract other than what they themselves have agreed and signed with knowledge and voluntary consent. There is no authority who can sign others to contract without their knowledge and consent. Thus any “agreement” made by the “federal government” and the “UN” is non-binding and unlawful- Any directives or demands made can only achieved through voluntary participation by people- or tyrannical force

Use cash for most transactions
You should go to Russia and spew this shit out. You'd be tossed out a forth floor window after having your legs broken by FSB agents. Or Saudi Arabia, where they'd publicly behead you for saying this crap. In the USA, you'd just be considered a conspiracy nut and laughed at. Wake up smell like roses idiot. This garbage your preaching is nonsense in the real world.
I’m not living by any standards or demands made by “the UN” regardless of where I happen to be on the earth. That’s not a conspiracy theory and I could give a fuck “what would happen in XYZ country” It’s a simple fact which I explained to you logically that the government doesn’t get to decide what I do with my own life. Go fuck yourself retard.
You're a keyboard pussy that's all talk, no action. You'd already be locked up if you actually practice the bullshit you preach. The only reason you're typing, and not in prison with the people that actually have the courage of their commitment is because you're a coward.
I am practicing it now exactly as I said, it is very simple: I do not obey laws or take actions that I have not agreed to. I am free because God created me this way. And I will remain free regardless of what force or imprisonment is done onto me unjustly. This isn’t a game. You either recognize yourself as free or you allow yourself to be a slave.
> I do not obey laws or take actions that I have not agreed to. Liar. If that were true, you'd already be in prison. Prisons are litterly full of people that actually did, what you only say you'll do online, while being a submissive pussy out on the streets. That's how civilized society works. Society laughs at keyboard warriors like yourself and imprisons people that actually practice, what you only preach. I get it. You can't fight, so you'd end up being traded for cigarettes your first day in prison. That's why you're a keyboard warrior. You call for others to be the hero you're too much of a coward to be in person.
you cant, as there will be a server with that communication in order for the other person to see it. best you can do is stay anon and only connect with tor. make a nym , create the nsec using amber running over orbot. log into your npub on aethyst over orbot using amethyst / garnet. only connect to relays running over tor and should be assumed you are not using the app store with your doxed google acct to download the apps.
I don’t think I thanked you for this. Very good reference! Thanks.
