3 years ago I went to the Dollar tree, bought a couple packs of generic Christmas cards, then stopped at the gas station and bought a bunch of $1 and $3 scratchers.
I stuck one of those scratchers in each of the cards and started passing them out to familiar faces in my everyday life and I made it my December tradition. My mailman takes extra care with my packages now. The trash guys take my bagged leaves even though they're not supposed to. The lady at my grocery deli always adds 3 or 4 extra slices of turkey AFTER she's weighed it.
Kindness compounds.
