Great tutorial Derek! I believe @jb55 and the gang are working to make this process easier in an upcoming Damus release.

I connected thanks. But where is the wallet? I only opened it in the browser as this tutorial said.
it's a custodial web application. think of it as a spending wallet. if you want something for large amounts of money long term, you should use something else that you control the keys.
Primal has a built in wallet. Two years ago, Apple made Damus remove the note Zapping functionality and threatened to ban it if they did not comply.
Excellent, thank you, my wallet was already @Mysterious Hamster ( it’s great) and I’ve just set this up as per your video It zapped the default amount without asking , is there a way to make it ask me if I want to zap a different amount?

Thank you for the demo, @Derek Ross ! Can you explain what that secret script does? Looking at the source the “on” button is just an obfuscated string. Asking people to blindly run a script that can touch their nsec is dangerous. It’s part of the reason I haven’t setup my zap wallet yet because I haven’t had time to vet the integrations.

all these scripts can do at the moment is turn boolean settings on/off in damus. obviously these scripts will never have access to your nsec. they are completely sandboxed.
You can send zaps from as many wallets as you'd like via as many apps as you'd like. However, you can only receive zaps to one wallet because you can only have one wallet's Lightning address on your nostr profile for receiving.
Hey Daniel, I really don't want to confuse you, but I also feel obligated to help here... You did setup Alby, and that's great that you figured it out! However, Alby is no longer free. This means that the zaps that you're earning are not redeemable yet, because Alby makes you pay for their services now (or you have to run a node using their tools and manage the payment channels yourself). You'll have to pay their monthly fee to get your zaps. And since you're very new to all of this, I'm going to assume that this cost isn't worth it for you, as of yet. Soon, a new version of Damus is going to remove Alby and add in Coinos because they're free. This will create less friction for users. I have a video that will help you activate Coinos if you want to try that?
