When I purchase, do I need to specify the country? Seems like you just pick the plan type (data or call etc.) And it's just a permanent roaming sim essentially? Am I wrong here?

I would argue being non-KYC is the ultimate security feature. You just go to a tor site to “own” your account. So you cannot be targeted by hackers for sim swap attacks.
