So... Any oldschool gamers here? By that I mean... were you a fan of Westwood Studios the developers/publishers? If you don't remember them... they made Dune 2000 Command & Conquer Red Alert But here's the good news... THIS SHIT IS NOW OPEN SOURCE! If I can code up a ladder or tournament of some sort on nostr I shall endeavour to do so! Or someone else do it and then get zapped by me! 🫂💝

Wish they would focus more on fixing the broken Tiberian Sun support. It's basically defunct for a year or so. Once Tiberian Sun works, Red Alert 2 would also be 90% supported.

Yeah Tiberian Sun would be badass! RA2 would be nice too. Had no idea it was defunct etc. Only just discovered this the other day :/ Wondering how hard it would be to vibe up a nostr mod/plugin for it

hahaha yep!!! This shit was the soundtrack to my life for a good 2-3 years surely. Great thing about OpenRA is you can use a physical or digital copy of the game to attach the soundtrack to the game!

I haven't played around with OpenRA yet. I'm curious how it differs from cncnet where its more of a remake. I know cncnet annoyed me awhile back because they had the full version of Red Alert available for Linux but not the original CnC. I didn't want to mess with wine. Used to love these games.

Even then... im thinking with the amount of people who have played, lets play some casual 1v1s or FFA between us all when the stars align? The three titles work on all 3 systems (macos/linux/windows) and I think BSD and FreeBSD too(?).
