If you have an Alby wallet custodial account you can sign in with the first option,

Damus does not have a build-in wallet, we rely on third party wallets that you can connect to. This gives users the flexibility to use a preferred wallet or even their own that they run at home. Alby is the most common wallet to connect to! If you are outside the US, you can even use Wallet of Satoshi by putting your wallet of satoshi lightning address in your profile without even attaching a wallet. This will allow you to receive bitcoin directly into wallet of satoshi. Any lightning wallet that supports lightning addresses are compatible with Damus. If this is too complicated, there are some nostr clients that have a built-in wallet if this feature is important to you and you don't want the hassle.

NWC is nostr wallet connect technology that works by connecting your account to your custodial wallet via an authentication string so you can send sats without having to go back to your wallet . You get the string from wallet that support the feature.
