@npub10pen...n34f and @ODELL need to be 100% transparent with the public about the terms of their grants and the process of selection and approval. If there is anything unknown about it, it needs to be known and made public. And if there are any closed door back room decisions being made that aren't disclosed, then anyone donating them ought to stop.

noone can, since everyone is getting paid by opensats, including me. ten31 is invested in primal and strike. it’s pretty ingenious and prevents anyone from saying anything or else you may not get your nostr grant, at least that is the perception even if its true or not. Odell has called me personally and said there’s no way he would have of conflict of interest, but it’s literally impossible to not have a conflict of interest here. Odell is a great guy and I’m inclined to trust him, but the whole situation feels wrong and is causing a chilling effect.

They have a good process by having a board of directors, which distributes the decisions more, but then it comes to the question of who is watching the board to ensure transparency and value distribution is not just collaboration 🤔
Anyone receiving grants ought to be allowed to fully disclose the full text and terms of any contracts or other agreements with no repercussions. The relationships between OpenSats and Ten31 and all members of both organizations, and the companies and projects they invest in and give grants to, ought to be made fully public and transparent. On the surface this reeks of fiat world bullshit and if that's not the case then they need to take great care to ensure that level of transparency exists.
Better yet, set up a transparent organization that operates perfectly. You got this Corn, how hard could it be?
You are over your skis. Maybe some developers feel constrained because one of nine OpenSats members is also a partner in a VC fund that invests in competitors to OpenSats grantees. That doesn’t mean that there is a secret agreement imposed. If you don’t like how OpenSats is allocating grants, then donate directly. If you are a developer and feel uncomfortable, raise donations directly from your users. No need for drama.
Too funny! Now I know you’re serious and not just engagement trolling.
