Considering every company out there saw Black Mirror as something to strive for as opposed to a warning..

It's not just the internet. We are so much used to see ads in our offline lives than we consider them as something normal. Even as iconical of our culture sometimes! Billboards, metro, buses, everywhere!

Using Brave browser, never ever have to watch an ad. Even YT is completely ad-free when using privacy focussed Brave browser.

Imagine big supermarkets doing food porn adverts. You've got to masticate faster or the frame rate of the advert slows progressively to a stop. I can't think where else that concept could be applied!? :)))
Oh yeah 🤦🏽‍♂️ I’m def sure that’s what I read/heard but my mind played games and registered a totally different thing. Perhaps another way to frame it should exclude that word ‘attention’. FAANG made it synonymous with organ harvesting. Evil 😈 ‘get paid when you engage with Brands’ 🤔 Zapvertising model also kinda seems silly’ish
