Wow, that’s a lot. Must be a new channel creation type thing or something? I’m not 100% sure about the cashu protocol and how it all interfaces with lightning.
Coinos.io is another option. Once you redeem it, you can either keep it there or pay a Lightning invoice to send it off.
This is true. Hopefully any mints not being straightforward about this won’t be used / will get called out. Wallet of Satoshi could have done this too.
Yeah this sounds like a lightning node issue. Did you not have an existing lightning wallet? Just FYI receiving small transactions to a new node with no channels is an expensive proposition. Your service provider probably has a minimum channel size and you are being charged for extra inbound liquidity. Best practice is to fund a new lightning wallet with a large on-chain transaction. Then spend your balance down naturally or swap it out with a submarine swap. That way you have a large channel balance ready ahead of time with inbound liquidity. This lets you avoid paying high time preference fees. Worst practice is to start with a small channel and have to increase the size of your channel each time you receive a payment. It sounds like you might be doing the latter. You might as well use Muun b/c you are transacting on chain for each LN payment. 😬

Don't use eNuts it isn't maintained. Use cashu.me or @Minibits . Sounds like you are trying to open a channel with the token. Cashu doesn't take fees to redeem. There are fees to send a lightning transaction however.

It doesn’t, won’t or can’t? Seems like that would be a good mint business model
DON'T USE ENUTS. IT'S NOT BEING MAINTAINED.

Over the past few months, I’ve been unable to maintain the @npub1dx5q...88sj wallet or keep up with Cashu protocol changes due to personal circumstances. This has unfortunately led to users losing funds because of critical bugs or mint incompatibility. The fast-evolving cashu ecosystem requires consistent commitment, which I failed to provide. I’m not leaving the project. I love both eNuts and the ecash community—but the timing hasn’t been right for me to contribute recently. I’m confident I can stabilize the wallet and upgrade to the latest mandatory #Cashu specs during Q1 2025. Until then, I recommend using the latest beta version, currently available only on Android. iOS users should move their funds out of the wallet and uninstall it immediately. I apologize for the losses that might have happened to you. Thank you for your understanding and support. 🧡🥜🐿
