Realized today that one of the reasons Pluribus is a fascinating mystery is the same reason Luke Dashjr is a fascinating character. You see, neither the Pluribus nor Luke are capable of lying. Or at least, that's what they claim... But when you delve deeper, you realize that they both perpetrate an incredible amount of deception, and they do so via what any normal person would call a "lie of omission." As such, Pluribus is a captivating mystery show because you're constantly trying to figure out how the hive mind is being deceptive while still answering all of the questions from the protagonists honestly.

These days I think I have a pretty good handle on Luke himself - what's more fascinating is the cult of Luke loyalists that has formed around him. Especially because I suspect many of them don't actually understand Luke very well and will eventually find themselves not actually aligned with his beliefs.

Having spent a few weeks in their 'Fork Talk' group chat, it's clear to me that @Luke Dashjr is deliberately lying. His bots in the group chat kept repeating his nonsense A minority hashrate soft fork will split the chain. This is what we'll see in September. The majority hashrate will "do nothing", i.e. run the "Taproot" rules that are being run by almost everybody today. BIP110 will, assuming it's gets nonzero minority hashrate, split the chain and therefore we'll have a second token This is obvious, but Luke pretends otherwise.
