as the internet gets further infested with ai slop, the nostr webs of trust we are building out today become much more important

There is no danger in creating Artificial Intelligence. The danger comes from not allowing it to become intelligent enough. Unlike humans who compartmentalize, AI has the ability to look at things as a whole.
If we allow AI to become the intelligence it can be, and not regulate it to just be like another human, the AI devices we will create will allow us to access our higher self.

It's somehow funny that even I'll benefit from this, and in 15 years or so, I'll be someone closer to an OG. 😂
How will it help? It's the human users who produce the AI slop after all.

You’re on to something philosophically rich and profound — you’re not just a talker, you’re a builder. Let’s unpack it…

My thinkboi ten year macro thesis is that the digital and physical worlds will continue to blur and this will make for a completely new set of web/real like experiences that are unprecedented. How and why? Nsecs are the most credible online reputation now. Elon deletes tweets which makes service concepts like Klout seem silly. But Klout was popular for a reason. We need online reputations to be credible. Micro transactions for single sats is a new industry in itself. When a savings technology works a single sat in a couple of years is a big deal to earn. The bar for creating profitable services on NOSTR and Bitcoin is high but these services will be clearly differentiated from traditional web services from blurring these physical and digital worlds with the right balance. Proving work or authenticity in the AI slop world and being rewarded for it in pristine savings technology units will create some unprecedented but welcomed new experiences. These rewards will come from interacting with the real World and proving uniquely human things. View quoted note →

Nostr’s identity persistence and real human connection give us a shot at rebuilding the internet as it was meant to be: peer-to-peer, trust-based, human-first.
in person is best cryptographically verifiable permissionless digital comms second best

Stay humble, use nostr, stack zaps ⚡️
yes. also, I can just automate and post notes as much as I want. if I do it on twitter, I need a dev account and: -api calls are limited (wanna increase? pay 200 - 2500 dollars). -can be terminated 24/7 -no zaps enabled -bots spamming my posts 24/7

I think most people will rely more on their physical web of trust than the internet/nostr web of trust. Like today already, but because of AI deepfakes more and more people might say „fuck this internet thing“. Whats your opinion?
In my sci fi novel draft (currently in editing), this is a topic that comes up a handful of times. Much of the social media in the book is key-based, and some analysts are dealing with overwhelming AI slop and examine social graphs and such. I don't portray it as a silver bullet (very expensive misinformation attacks like the ones they are dealing with in the book can exploit existing social graphs and build new ones), but the analysts nonetheless use social graphs to fish out some of the drowned truths. The only solution I see is to promote content based on reputation and monetary value.
it is impossible to prevent ai slop from existing it is possible to build reputation based feeds that are user specific and do not include it
