I legit have em cause I like em 😍 I do believe that Nostr & Btc are a good match to support each other in showcasing value4value and other decentralised communication apps. Only here on Nostr have I seen this play out as nicely as it does 🤟

Another strategy to apply is to actually log in with someone else's Nostr pubkey. You won't be able to post as them, but can see exactly what they see and maybe find better follows.

I came here when twitter rate limiting started a couple days ago since there were a few big accounts worth lurking through nitter. Saw it posted on hackernews. Not a "bitcoiner" or "maxi". It seems to share the problem of most crypto sycophant spaces that most of the software is built primarily by and for people already bought into crypto ideas and can't figure out how to not shove it in the face of everyone else. I assume having a curated set of relays would address some of it but there doesn't seem to be a good way to find them. The majority seem at best overlapped with the bitcoin nutcase community.

I think almost all uses of blockchain have been scams, and that that the fervent behavior of the enthusiasts is akin to a religion. There are a few idealist among them, which I respect, though I don't share their libertarian anti-government politics
So I dislike the current prevalent culture on Nostr
But I really like the elegance of the protocol

I think maxis won’t mind you to fully express yourself. On the other hand, Scammers, con artists and marketers would rather prefer other popular platforms and newcoiners won’t understand what’s a maxi or a shitcoiner so you will have a hard time finding that diverse audience in here for the coming years. Don't use Bitcoin. Don't think it's particularly useful for day 2 day usage compared to alternatives. Also think Vitalik is a pretty reasonable and intelligent dude, not a scammer.
I'm testing out this platform, alongside lens and some others for now, as I do agree with the need for censorship resistant, decentralized social network less prone to whims of a singular figure(s).

I am here for all the non-blockchain parts of the nostr tech. I think blockchain will eventually be niche and that some kind of likelihood of trust will prevail. i.e. The people I trust say this will spend so good enough for me. You can get burnt sure, but completely trustless is impossible, everyone else may agree on a change to your detriment. So why not rely on trust to begin with and loose the speed and energy use problems of blockchains and proof of work?
