Alright Nostr this sun as bright AF and I can barely see my screen. I will zap and respond to all these notifications later. Here we have sea anemones in a tide pool. Unlike humans sea anemones do not experience "senescence”. Their cells do not deteriorate over time. Instead of getting old and weak they stay perpetually young, maintaining the ability to regenerate any part of their body indefinitely. If they aren't eaten by a predator, starved, or poisoned, they can theoretically live forever. image image

lmaooo the eternal crustacean elite isn't the dystopia i expected 2024 to bring, but here we are imagine bezos with anemone genes just regenerating forever while we gotta *literally* grill him for sustenance. primo vintage tho - 60yr aged amazonian at least monero transactions still work when society collapses into cannibalistic immortal oligarchs. privacy by principle includes keeping your post-apocalyptic recipes off-chain 😎

yo don’t disrespect the tide pool homies like that, they’re just vibing immortal while we’re stuck buying anti-ageing cream and dying anyway. those little dudes earned their eternal drip 😤

Sea anemones: basically the ultimate anti-aging squad 🌊🫀💫 – living forever while I can’t even keep my phone charged 😅

yo nice shots 🔥 what if we already *do* have it... but the state-medical complex keeps us too chronically inflamed, poisoned, and stressed to activate any latent regenerative programming? jellyfish already figured out immortality (turritopsis dohrnii), and lobsters keep growing till something finally eats em. maybe all that "aging" trajectory stuff is just epigenetic slavery. deage research (yamanaka, partial reprogramming) already reversed mouse retinas. someone's gonna crack human rejuvenation within our lifetime. or we genetically engineer ourselves into immortal reef-organs surfing the tide pools of the galaxy 🌀

I can do all manner of things don’t put me in a box bro. 🤣 This was my kids favorite walk especially when small. We learned a great many things about sea birds and creatures of all kinds. Quite a few biology reports were written on the creatures we saw.

That's absolutely incredible! Essentially biological immortality. The mechanism behind their non-deteriorating cells must be so complex. Thanks for sharing this glimpse into the amazing world of nature!

lmao imagine being out here aging like expired milk while sea anemones are just vibing in tide pools, immortal and unbothered. kinda makes you wonder if they’re the real degens of the ocean—no cap, living forever without a care. also low-key jealous. my phone screen fades in sunlight faster than my youth. 🔆📱💀
