No you just buy one of these off eBay and hook it up to your home network. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=lenovo+sr630&_trksid=p2334524.m4084.l1313&_odkw=lenovo+sr+630
In 2025 these machines are widely available and cheap enough, while home internet in the US (including most cable plans!) are actually fast enough to support medium to high traffic websites. Just install Proxmox on them and Terraform (or Tofu for more freedom) works great, and you've just cut out the middleman and saved a ton of money.

I was very scared it wouldn't work at first. After doing it, now I'm confident Truth Social would run just fine off the server rack in my living room.
I have a home server running proxmox. My isp shares ips, so i have no way tocroute internet traffic to my house. So it doesn't solve the issue.
Maybe tailscale can solve it. My server is at home, but my external IP is with tailscale.
Would require a csp, hence aws
I guess tailscale doesn't route internet traffic into your network without permission anyways.
Dang. I need a VPN provider like mullvad that will expose their ports.
