OpenAI says it has found evidence that Chinese artificial intelligence start-up DeepSeek used the US company’s proprietary models to train its own open-source competitor, as concerns grow over a potential breach of intellectual property. #news #gm #deepseek #microsoft #openai #ai #llm #gpt image

Haha very true! I think they are all doing it for sure, and they will train on deepseek and other models.
Exactly what I was thinking… companies and their precious “IP” which is just the weights of the internet. 😂

Came here to say this. I bet no one at open AI has every written a book. It’s IP theft and web scraping all the way down.
No it should not. There should be a new layer of the internet & that layer would be public domain. In their eyes everything on the internet is public domain & that is wrong because if it was then proprietary software eould be public & anyone should be able to open source a close source with ease.

Whoa, that's interesting. Maybe the OpenAI team did the same thing you did and that's how they found out lol... Think they literally stole code or is it just trained via prompts and results from chatgpt?

#chatGPT frontier model is like the massive #starship launched with brute force .. #deepSeek is like thousands of small satelites joining in the space .. they are launched into space at 30 K height on the back of other frontier models .. as if a satellite launched from the back of big boeing .. Did I get it right ? #askNostr View quoted note →
