Yep! I couldn't figure out why there was so much push to convince everyone they were born in the wrong body and that they needed to be put on hormones and have surgeries. When you want to depopulate the world, you can't just start killing people because you'll lose your head, however, if you can convince people to chemically and surgically sterilize themselves, then you don't get blamed.
