That's my friend Sarah. The reason why he's wearing those dorky glasses is because two weeks ago, while on a mission, he and some fellow Ukrainian soldiers nearly got killed by a Russian FPV drone. They were so close to the explosion that a thin layer of Sarah's eyes got burnt off, changing their shape. So while previously he didn't need glasses, now he does. One of the other soldiers who was with him is still in hospital with an arm full of shrapnel. After spending the night in a basement they evacuated on foot, and Sarah spent some time in the hospital for a concussion before returning to work this week. This morning Sarah volunteered for yet another mission because they needed a medic, and he was the only one they had on hand. Sarah again was nearly hit by yet another FPV drone and is back in hospital again. And yes, Sarah can definitely shoot a gun. He's used his rifle to shoot multiple FPV drones out of the sky; if he couldn't he would already be dead.
