I like the lack of permission required to enable this functionality & send anyone with a npub real Bitcoin.
It's sad that silent payments aren't an option.
There's other solutions that are way better. Npub cash and NIP-60, for example. Silent Payments is an option, that's why insisting to blast ahead with a naive and destructive approach is so flabbergasting.

I'm changing my mind, gradually being against on-chain zaps, and I know others are learning and are changing their mind too
When people are acting in good faith, and they are all smart (perhaps smart in different ways 🙂), then we end up in a good place (eventually)

Nostr could do with some debate.
It's got a lot of eco-chamber stuff. Maybe the people who I follow, true - but the Nodtr developers could do with some more diversity of thought.
So I am happy with what @Vitor Pamplona did, even if just to get you all talking
Even though Bitcoin has terrible privacy, I like that this broke the monoculture here.
I’ve built all that stuff. Works great if you trust the mint, lightning node, relay operator and all the code that makes it happen. Plus trusting the DNS and VPSs that can go offline at any moment.
