I feel like I wanna make a FIRE YouTube channel that just judges people's terrible financial decisions
Just saw a video of a guy who bought a new Porsche Macan to doordash, if only bro knew how depreciation works, he was basically losing like $20 per order lol

If itβs for business use he can write it off, not as stupid as youβd think.
REKTfinance
You can't make enough income on doordash to make it work lol
If thatβs his only hustleβ¦sure
Yeah bro, but think how much you can save on taxes by claiming your car interest payments as an expense π
Iβm gonna DoorDash in a lambo π
I saved so much on capital gains tax by losing half my net worth on Bitcoin #winning

I would watch that.
I like that vid circulating last week of the young woman totally thrilled that she cashed in her 401k to pay off her credit card so she could swipe to pay the down payment on her new car note.
Something in the ether! Did anyone else hear the Scott Melker "How Not to Invest" jingles yesterday?? I was dying π
I always wonder why when you're self employed, all your living expenses don't count as deductions.
Checkout the financial audit on YouTube. He basically does this but its all manufactured drama.
It's bullshit that living expenses are not deducted.
I've got no reason to live where I live, if my business wasn't located here.
Why can Google or whatever other big corp can deduct the food they give their employees, but I can't deduct my groceries?
not sure about the video being referenced here, but it worked for me. during covid part ofnthe stimulus here was to allow full write off on business equipment instead of havung to depreciate it over a few years. bought a new truck, got 40% discount with the sales tax refund and then write off against my income.
happy days.
paid cash though. probably not worth it if you're financing.
I bet you were making more money than a doordasher, and your truck didn't depreciate as fast as a brand new Porsche
The trick is that you check on tiktok what triggers the most people and then you do a YouTube show with paid actors that does the same style videos. Stolen porch packages? Police arguing with drivers in their cars? All acted shows... The can wear police uniforms, etc, because it's acting.
it did drop fast. 4 years old now and worth less than half.
yeah, probably was making more than a doordasher but did register it for uber. used to make a shit load doing that, could pull nearly $1000 on a good day. was living in a tourist town though.
picking doorfash pays bugger all
Thatβs what Caleb Hammer already does. Youβd prolly be better at it tho
Have you ever seen this? Itβs extremely entertaining and your note reminded me of the homeless dude in the film who is independently wealthy but drives a $200k AMG ππ
It's insane. I mean not to mention that the income tax itself is diabolical. The only reason to calculate income and expenses should be to keep your business alive, not to pay tribute to vampires.
That's definitely me during tax season π
