I keep saying it because it's true. This app, built in Shakespeare, has many features that no other Nostr app has done. Take the Bitcoin Cash out of the equation and you'll see it's really interesting.
I guess my question, and I'm not going to test it using anything thats not a throwaway twitter account, is does it actually work. Bchnostr is cool, but a lot of stuff on there just doesn't work. Amber support shows up, but it throws up a 404 when you use it. Still, cross posting would be huge.
Just wait when influencers with millions of followers start to marketing Bitcoin, not knowing they actually promoting Bitcoin Cash.
The most important thing is to be able to welcome people who haven't sat on this platform and encourage them to build. Even though I haven't tried the app, its good to see fresh blood and I'm really quite tired people trying to dismiss work protected by a few incumbents.
a lot of the classic old internet standards went like this: you write your proposal and you put your name on it, then its on your onus to get out there and promote your protocol idea to get adoption and push back. none of this remove all author names bs
So true. It’s hard to get into it when you don’t know anyone and are just jumping into sats and lightning. Seems so odd to zap someone when you have just a few sats
Seen Nostr refered to as a Nazi bar a couple of times on The Fediverse but I think the general anger level is lower than BlueSky (although I've never had an account there). I still wonder I'll run into something at somepoint as my show attracts both Fedi and Nostr users, So far so good tho...
The thing is, if any of these people are real, they probably weren’t even around for that era. They just showed up a decade later. Someone’s clearly been duping them.
So if it’s not just bots, who are all these people who just magically showed up shilling BCash and replying to every post that we’re supposed to be “welcoming” to build on our open network? Most of them look like Filipinos who are being paid to generate content. It’s clear that Alex is a bad actor, but who else is involved?
The same thing happened with Coinbase Base app, for a few weeks, it look like then next big social media thing, loads of paid influencers shilling it , proclaiming they love it, then it suddenly disappeared never to be seen again. Its a well worn bot hype. Give it a couple of weeks, it will die
