If I was an evil dev
I would put a "bug" in the software that lets me passively collect keys
Then I would wait for other hackers to discover it
Then I would steal some under the radar amount of coins, maybe 10-20, to blend in with the other hackers

Lolz I had this exact same thought the other day.
This is also quite strange with the timing.
The exploit happened just 3 weeks after they started to look to hire someone working at the firmware.. 👀
IMO that's exactly what CK was doing until an 18 year old with Kimi K3 and Openrouter discovered it and blew their cover.
What if someone was a sociopath?
Make a honeypot, sweep all bitcoin in one address, ship firmware updates, brick all devices.
