Bitcoin advocate. - starting over on NOSTR
I recently found out, there is a program called ROBS "ROBS" stands for Rollovers as Business Startups, a financial strategy where you use funds from your existing retirement accounts (like a 401k or IRA) to invest in a new or existing business, typically by forming a C-corporation You then issue stock from your newly created Corp and sell it to your 401k/IRA. You can use these funds that end up in the corporate bank account for "legitimate business expenses". So say one has some Bitcoin sitting in an IRA at somewhere like Unchained. What's to stop that person from selling their BTC for cash and then moving that cash over to their newly created corporation through the ROBS process and turn around and start a Bitcoin Treasury for the company? You end up funneling your Bitcoin tax and penalty free into your company. Anyone see any holes in this idea? Another note, I plan on spinning up a new company to purchase another company anyway. So there's no additional cost involved in this process except maybe the time to get it all setup properly. @Ben Justman🍷 @Parker Lewis @Michael Saylor @Owl Guy
We visited a town in Idaho yesterday that was 98% LDS. Safe, clean and friendly people there. Had a dream last night the Morman church adopted Bitcoin as their standard for tithing. Maybe it could happen. All churches should accept Bitcoin. image
Headed up to Park City to hang out and have fun with the family. No Bitcoin businesses in site. ☹️ image
Just listened to @Jeff Booth's latest interview on What Bitcoin Did and I had to check my thinking about my future plans. I still have one foot in the Fiat world, when I don't have to do that anymore. Why not completely exit and build something in and around Bitcoin? It's so difficult to completely break away from our preconceived thought patterns.
I typically try and support Bitcoin businesses when I travel, I use the OrangePill app and btcmap.org to find them. But when the map looks like this... Are there better resources for finding Bitcoin businesses? image
Mission find a new home has 3 votes for the Cortez/Delores/Mancos area of Colorado. I'm not a no vote, I'm just currently abstaining so we can continue our Epic USA road trip. This area of CO has so much to do and see, we barely scratched the surface. A trip to Mesa Verde was one of the highlights. We left CO today and landed just northof Moab. Tomorrow, Arches national Park and then onward to SLC for a few days to explore there.
Our "Epic USA road trip" finally kicked off after several early mishaps. We made it to Gallup, NM for the night and will be pushing on to Delores, CO tomorrow where we will setup shop for a bit and explore and look at properties. Let's hope our roof patch job holds.
The "Epic US road trip" has been a bit of a disaster. We are still in Cloudcroft NM. It's been one issue after another. Ran the RV into a low hanging branch and ripped the roof membrane on the RV. Patched that up and tried to go out to Colorado today. Got to Tularosa and blew out a tire. Put on the spare and went back to Alamogordo to get the tire replaced. Got it replaced and went down the road and even before getting to Carrizozo the patch job ripped up by the wind and we aborted and went back to my folks in Cloudcroft. Got back to my folks place and started a different way to fix the roof and the horn on my truck just started randomly beeping and couldn't shut it off. Had to cut the horn wires. So, not sure what we are going to do at this point. We will try once more tomorrow.
First day of the "Epic US road trip" ran into a speed bump. Well actually a low hanging tree branch did the damage. Immediately after finding the rip in the roof mother nature laughed and poured rain down on us. I think I have it patched up enough to continue on, but not the best of starts.
@Lyn Alden are you on Twitter anymore? If so what's your actual legit handle? I followed what I hope was your account and four imposters followed me back.

Gold was sound money. Private ownership was banned by the US from 1933 - 1974 and the dollar taken off the gold standard in 1971. Tell me again why you think Gold is a better protection than Bitcoin?
Had a great chat with a friend about Bitcoin and investing yesterday. Instead of pushing her to buy, Coral and I suggested books and content to deepen her understanding. Knowing why people believe in Bitcoin’s potential is key to confident investing pic generated by AI (I don't have that much hair!) image
"Bitcoin is too expensive" "I should have bought it earlier" "I missed my opportunity" These are all excuses. Study what money is and why the dollar will continue to lose value and Bitcoin will continue to be more valuable. You can still buy Bitcoin It will be more expensive in the future The opportunity to be early is still right in front of you. image
Trying out Primal instead of Amethyst. Let me know if you see this!
What is the best NOSTR client for Android? I'm using amethyst, is there anything better out there??
