You believe this to be true as evidenced by scammers/spammers not using OP Return but instead had to find other more harmful ways and still doing the transactions anyways. This screams to me the exact opposite of the filters working. What am I missing?

What happened to hitting the debt ceiling? After looking at the Jan ‘25 treasury outlays I see the following: -$129B budget deficit I would assume either the TGA would need to decrease by that amount or total debt outstanding increase by that amount to cover this shortfall but… -Total debt only increased by $2B from 12/31 to 1/31 -TGA balance actually increased from $719B to $784B from 12/31 to 1/31 What am I missing? #asknostr @Lyn Alden @Marty Bent @preston @Luke Gromen

If I were a nation state looking to acquire a large position in Bitcoin quietly, acting like you’re going full shitcoinery publicly might be the strategy. I can’t remember who said this a while back in reference to Peter Thiel in cycles past but seems like a good rule of thumb: If they are talking up an asset publicly they are trying to offload their position. If they are talking down an asset publicly they are trying to build their position.

Never mind what they are saying they will or won’t do, sit back and take a moment to revel in the fact that Bitcoiners as a group are being courted by politicians. Are they lying, probably. But pretty incredible that it only took 15 years to grow to the size of possibly influencing an election as a group. That is the signal. Def was hot on my 2024 election bingo card.
