Talked to my sister Sarah yesterday. She makes a couple Bitcoin soaps every batch she makes, from the molds I got her for Christmas. A little bigger than her regular bar soap. 4 bitcoin bars 50,000 sats. 6 bars 70,000 sats. DM me if interested, supplies limited. #soap #bitcoin #circulareconomy

Not great news for people wanting maple syrup, but good news for me. Sap run weather is freeze at night, 35-40 sunny in day. Once I tap, the tree will slow in 5 weeks and heal and stop at 6. This gives me time to plan. If a season lasts 7 weeks, I want tapped during the best 4. If I tapped 10 days ago for a small 1 day run, I would've lost 2.5 weeks of an open tap until next warmup, losing part of my season.

I also set up a @Plebeian Market.market to compare that with @Shopstr Markets and see which is more user friendly. Search "Mapletrade" in either of them.

Has anyone tried Shopstr? I made a listing for my sister Sarah's tallow soap there, but am not sure the ease of use yet. Was thinking of having maple syrup there this year.

Putting this out here now, since I heard @Nunya Bidness bring it up on the BitcoinAnd.... podcast. Prices of everything are going up. The last 3 years inflation has been crazy. My costs have gone up and my prices are going up EXCEPT for the #Nostr community. I haven't raised my prices in 3 years. I will be raising prices on X, and my local markets, but not for Nostr. Stay tuned.

Finally got my side bacons, beef bacon, and jowl bacon cured (just salt and maple syrup, no pink salt) and smoked on red oak and hickory. Know where your meat comes from. @Nunya Bidness @npub1hq0k...f9mp 2025, another year to look forward too.

1st post for my 2025 syrup season. I have 14.5 cord of wood ready to go on my outdoor evaporator. (No sugar shack yet) Over Christmas break, I will clean all pans (vinegar and boiling water only) and small repairs on evaporator. @rev.hodl @SweetSats are you getting ready?

This is for RFK Jr. Something came to mind last night.. I teach at a small rural school in Ohio. We graduate around 30 students a year. Just over 500 students for our k12 building. What a great place to run an healthy experiment on school lunches. Get it to be healthy here, and then look at scalability to big schools. Well, it is good to hear more from people like @RobertKennedyJr , @MeatMafiaBrett and others, that @modernTman , @Ol_Butch and many country folk have known for a long time. Using a mix of tallow and lard to fry turkey again this year. Peanut or shortening is just not the same.

That time of year in NW Ohio. My small rural school that graduates 25-35 kids each year had drive your tractor to school today. Now if these youngins can find the way to farm how their great grandpa's did it, they can start a transition back to sustainability. @nunyabidness @beefinitiative @ODELL How does the movement start to educate the youth with this much invested in conventional equipment.?

Was going to clean taps, but the mapletrade family getting ready for total eclipse. Supposed to be partly cloudy in Ohio, but it's pretty sunny. Sitting and relaxing and first day for yard games.

5 a m in Ohio on a Saturday. Pulling taps and gathering buckets to be picked up later. Track meet today so I had to do early work. luckily as a teacher, 28 yrs ago, I got my bus license to help my small rural school, and my kids school hired me to drive the track meets, so I get to watch my 9th and 10th grader boys run and get paid for it.
