Oh boy… Sent this to my mom instead of another leader I was trying to help 🤦‍♂️ You can image the subsequent back peddling I had to do! Triple check whom y’all send texts to please…especially in the middle of the night for the recipient 🤣 And to think the only thing better would have had I waited until Mother’s Day…good grief I better send a massive card this year! image
Yep I’ve got to be head down focused tomorrow. Also praying our AC gets fixed for real tomorrow and not the “I have no idea why it started working when I touched this wire” bs we got today…and a couple hours later it stopped again. “Hey Bueler! Ya thunk ders a short in da wiring harness?!” View quoted note →
Good Morning Nostriches! For those that don't know, prior to getting on NOSTR I had (still have) a Telegram community for leaders and business owners. As a leader and a guide, one skill I've developed and come to enjoy, arguably love, is helping people come to the best decision for themselves (on their own). This week one of my community members whom is humble enough they won't proclaim their win publicly, so I'll do it for them! 😃 This person made a great decision for themselves and their future this week. And its probably not what you think... They...decided to wait! Part of being in alighnment with what and how God wants us leading is to have the discernment to know when our timing is aligned with HIS timing. Patience is not my strong suit...but this leader asked some great questions and after a little bit of time, they decided "now" is NOT the right time. Good job oughta ya! In Nostrich terms, they lowered their time preference so they could see another focal point was high priority. I've got a full day Nostriches so I'm not sure I'll be back on but I wanted to make sure y'all know this is my place :) I enjoy hoping on in the morning and catching up with the lot of ya! Cheers and God bless your day. P.S. Remember, if its worth a like, follow, comment, reNote or QuoteNote; it's worth a #zap #GM #Leadership #Business #PV Pura Vida
Why Relationships Are the Real Currency of Leadership" explores how a personal experience with a van repair underscored the critical role of trust and relationships in effective leadership. I recount how familiarity with the repair shop owners resulted in a quick and seamless fix, illustrating that leadership hinges on strong, reliable connections. The article emphasizes that investing in meaningful relationships is essential for success, not just in leadership but also in business and personal life. I wrap it up with an invitation for readers to evaluate your own relationships and consider ways to strengthen them to boost your leadership influence. View article →
As business owners I think we overcomplicate this whole “get paid in Bitcoin” thing. It’s just not that difficult to take the fiat we earn and convert it to BTC. Sure straight BTC for product/services is easier…unless you need to pay bills in fiat… But my point being is: since we are still early, reduce the friction and just continue to stack sats anyway you can. Worry about being a maxi later. Or don’t…all or nothing thinking is a major trap! View quoted note →
Good Morning Nostriches! (re)Discovered a few things yesterday. 1. turning off the tech; having the son (voluntarily) turn over his phone did wonders for him and us as his parents yesterday 2. taking a family day was: A. much needed B. we have to get back into diligently scheduling those (we've been all going in different directions for a few months and it has taken its toll on us) 3. When did sub sandwiches from a chain start costing $18? And it's not like I was at Katz's getting a world famous Pastrami...no we are talking Jersey Mikes...nothing special... SO...we asked our son...look at the price...do you really want to pay that much or do you want to just get all the fixin's at the store and make subs at home... "let's go" he promptly said as he hustled out the door. Over the last 1.5-2 years we've been intentional about eating out less. (We used to eat out practically every day in some form or fashion). Not only has it helped us be better stewards of the finances God has entrusted to us; practically eliminating eating out over time as helped us recognize how much less expensive it is to grow or buy the fixin's ourselves. I haven't quite convinced the misses to move from gardening to animal husbandry...but I'm actively looking for local relationships with those whom already do. In the meantime I'll just buy direct from them. Ok y'all... Need to start the morning routine and the day. Not sure entirely what it entails but I'm sure it has something to do with leadership = relationships 😁 Cheers and God bless your day! P.S.
