@alyope on Instagram: "I’ve been on Nostr for a few months now (it’s that random link in my bio), and I’m still hopeful that social media is heading toward a more decentralized future in the next decade or so. The platforms we’ve all used over the past 15–20 years have changed how we live, but if you’re not at least a little concerned about how centralized and controlled these platforms have become (especially with censorship becoming more obvious), then it really doesn’t matter what app you’re on, how rich or connected you are, or how much influence you think you have. Even if you had a trillion-dollar deal with the biggest company in the world, if you’re an artist, streamer, politician, talk show host, it doesn’t matter. The threat remains the same, you can be silenced or erased.
Enter Nostr, an open and decentralized protocol, you can build anything on. There are already some variations of existing decentralized platforms, so it probably won’t be the only one out there, and I’m sure more will pop up as the general public becomes aggravated with being unable to express themselves.
Decentralized protocols are a necessary shift for the sake of humanity. As of right now, these are my reasons as to why Nostr is important:
1. You actually own your stuff.
Your posts, your art, whatever you share—it’s signed by you. No one can sell it, steal it, or use it without your say.
2. No Censorship
There’s no central company or mod team deciding who gets to speak. No shadowbans, no deplatforming, no secret blacklists.
3. You choose your feed.
No weird algorithms or ad-driven feeds. Just the people and content you want to see.
The next two decades is about bringing people to the forefront of the stage. It’s unscripted. It’s ugly - the stories, the places, the things, and even its normal people. But the truth is oh so beautiful, isn’t it?"

#10 🎁 Developer Tools, Updates and Releases
===========================================
1. Mostro-CLI - v0.13.3
Mostro-CLI is a command-line client for Mostro (the Lightning Network peer-to-peer exchange platform built on Nostr). The latest release, v0.13.3, delivers key improvements, including a fix for the wrong key in the execute_admin_add_solver function, enhancements to the changelog, and updates to cargo.toml. It also introduces a new helper for handling all admin dispute commands, alongside several bug fixes and refinements. This release strengthens reliability while simplifying dispute management and admin operations. There were also releases of v0.13.2, v0.13.1, and v0.13.0 also last week.

2. Snstr - v0.1.4
Snstr (Secure Nostr Software Toolkit for Renegades) is a developer tool for enhancing Nostr development across Node, React Native, and Web, providing secure and environment-aware cryptographic functions. This release lazy-loads Node crypto only in Node, ensures environment-specific NIP‑04 selection, and strengthens decrypt behavior to throw on wrong-key attempts. It hardens RN/Web entries to avoid accidental Node imports, updates security validation, and relaxes timing thresholds for improved test stability. Existing behavior remains compatible with synchronous NIP‑04 signatures and retains 0.1.3 improvements. RN/Expo users should install snstr@0.1.4, clear the Metro cache, and import react-native-get-random-values once at startup. This was the latest release, and there was also the release of v0.1.3 last week.
