New episode of Share Your Bitcoin Journey just dropped. James Kintore, Australian interior designer, founder of Kintore Design, co-creator of the furniture brand Matt and Kin. Published in The Local Project and Artedomus for the level of craft and intention in the work. In 2025 he moved to Costa Rica to build life closer to a Bitcoin standard. He's using Bull Bitcoin and Simpay to pay daily expenses in sats; he's plugged into the Bitcoin Jungle community in Uvita; he's pivoting toward fine art, sculpture, and finishing a book of musings 15 years in the making. The story I can't get out of my head: he and his collaborator Matt sourced 250-year-old French oak from a regional Victoria lumber yard — wood cut from the heart of Paris 25 years before they found it through a 10-year-old YouTube clip. They built a four-and-a-half-meter restaurant table for an Adelaide Hills chef. Materiality as a time chain. "Bitcoin is an energy agreement."
