I got to see my mom and brother tonight! And they brought some chocolate. Apparently shrinkflation has hit Sweden too, as the former 200g chocolate bars are only 160g now! And apparently the pick & mix candy that used to be like 3.49sek/hg, or something, on sale, were now "on sale" for 7.99sek/hg and full price was over 10sek/hg. Before they showed up, my husbands mom brought out a blanket that her mom had made for my husband when he was a baby and gave it to us! My mom didn't only being chocolate and candy, her and my brother also brought a gift for my son, their grandson/nephew. It was wrapped, so I directed it to my 2.5 month olds hand and he ripped it a tiny bit, so we counted it and then me and his dad ripped the rest of it open (I mean, it was his gift, he needs to at least get to open it a little bit!) It was a baby book with farm animals and different textures! πŸ˜ƒ Then before they left the pulled out some of our old kids books they had brought. I remembered them so I asked for some of them, remembering the format more than the content. The my mom said they have some more things from relatives, as well as her having gotten some money from relatives to go shopping with me to get our son some more things! πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯°πŸ™ We'll get the things tomorrow as they're gonna stay here with us from that time. We are so grateful! He's almost outgrown his clothes so we need some new ones, plus it's getting towards winter so he will actually need some clothes now, unlike when he was born and it was still above 90f out and the diaper was almost too much πŸ˜… Oh, and we got some old baby shorts/overalls that my husband had had as a baby as well! @FikaTimeBooks.com and I have been enjoying some of the candy after they left. Hubby tried some black licorice, but he didn't like it. That particular one isn't my favorite either. My actual favorite candy is a marshmallow banana covered in chocolate. Hubby tried that too and really like them! πŸ€— I had a great day today! πŸ₯°πŸ₯³ image
I want to knit! Everyone else on Nostr seems to be doing it. I usually don't follow trends, but I like this one! πŸ˜ƒπŸ§ΆπŸ§΅πŸ§£πŸ§€πŸ§¦πŸ‘• View quoted note β†’
I'm used wondering mountains in the distance, but what is all this green stuff between us and them? It's like 'alive' stuff or something! πŸ˜±πŸ€—πŸ˜ƒ View quoted note β†’
We got pulled over once in Reno, my husband driving and decided to turn kinda last second, but didn't actually violate any laws. It was around midnight, there was snow in the ground and we hadn't been prepared when we went there. I was wearing a dress, thick socks, and one of my husbands dress jackets. Then they asked me to step out of the vehicle. There was the initial officer and then 2 backup, one female and one male, who stayed with me. The male frisked me and when the female saw my wedding ring, she asked kinda surprised, "are you two married?" After that she seemed to wonder what the point was. It seemed they'd been called in as backup for suspicion of something that she seemed to no longer suspect us of. The initial officer had asked if I was nervous, but I wasn't nervous, just cold, and when I told him, he said he was too. Yeah?! Well, he was wearing more than me, and he's the one who made the decided to put us both in that situation! They asked me questions, one of which was where we were going to stay that night, and when I asked finally what that mattered to them, they stopped asking me questions and went and got my husband. My husband pushed back more, and when the original officer didn't get anywhere with him, he used his flashlight and walked around our van, which I was not standing in front of with the two backups. Since we don't do any drugs or had any cash, they eventually ended up letting us go with a warning or something. We'd seen a video of a guy passing through Nevada who kept his money in cash cause he didn't trust the banks, and the cops confiscated his money anyways, even if he had legitimate records of every single dollar with him! Turned out they get paid for sending money along to... the drug unit I believe... regardless of if it's legit or not. It took him fighting them with lawyers for 6 months to get his money back! We were so happy we were already into Bitcoin and hadn't accidentally had a wad of cash with us when this happened. We needed to forgive them and let it go, especially me, cause I didn't wanna set foot in Nevada again after how they treated us/me. Now I'm fine with it and have had some more pleasant times in that state, but I still wouldn't want to live there! It sure seemed like they were fishing for something else, cause it's not normal for cops to pull out the passenger at a traffick stop! Anyways, keep your money in bitcoin and not cash if you're driving through Nevada πŸ˜… View quoted note β†’
Looking at someone like they were a million dollars used to be a the highest compliment, but now there's competition. I look at my husband like he's a whole Bitcoin. How do you look at your spouse? 😎πŸ₯°
Overhearing a group of Christian women commenting on how they've struggled with holding onto offence and realizing it's up to them to fix it, or starting to compare her husband to someone else and finding herself getting recentful and deciding to stop watching that type of content. Well, I'm hearing them and I'd love to share with them how to make deals, and how to interact with men in a way that will actually work. They're clearly wanting to make things work and have good attitudes, but they're missing some useful tools. Oh, now they're talking about gratitude, and the posture of gratitude, which is great! But sometimes we can do something about the thing that's causing us to not naturally feel happy, instead of just shifting your attitude. I wrote about a lot of this in "How to Prepare Yourself for Marriage", but clearly, already married people also need to know this so I'm getting more and more inspired to write, "How to Make Marraige Easier."
Anyone selling bitcoin under 100k is wanting to be poor. Only those who are all in on bitcoin and sell to buy something are exempt from being poor.
All money has traces of drugs on them, except Bitcoin. Real money doesn't do drugs! 🀣
Our son got me a book sale! πŸ€—πŸ₯³ This lady asked how old he was, and then we started talking. I basically shared my whole life story as a wife, starting with the birth of our son, then our time in Sweden, followed by our travels across the States, and then all the way back to when we were dating and then got married almost 4 years ago. Somehow I got into the topic of speaking truth, and making deals, and how men play for points, so if a woman yells or complains at a man for not taking out the garbage, he's not gonna wanna do it anymore. She sat up when I said this, and shared how she has a 22 year old son that she's been complaining to, when he hasn't taken out the garbage, as that's his one job. I'd mentioned how my husband and I are authors and had written a book on "How to prepare yourself for marriage," because with everything else, you start with training, but relationships tend to be expected to be winged, and then surprise, it didn't work out. She asked for how to find the book and ordered a physical copy right there! Not because she wanted to find a husband, but because she wanted to learn and interact better with her son (and I guess the rest of the kids too) ☺️ I've had a great day today! First I got 10k sats for just being an OG on Nostr, then I got a free drink at the coffee shop, and then I got a book sale! πŸ€— and got some girl time, and made a friend!
This got me checking the bitcoin price, And instantly turning to my husband and going, "Do we have money to buy bitcoin with?!" image And to answer the question, Yes, bitcoin is dead again, time to revive it! πŸ₯³ View quoted note β†’
