How to fight #CBDC 1. Awareness Know that they are coming. Know the danger. Spread that knowledge. Learn from countries where the process is more advanced. 2. Alternatives Grow Bitcoin. Learn self custody. Build circular economies that help people earn, spend, save in Bitcoin. 3. Reveal lies and propaganda. Fight CBDC narrative by revealing their true intent. They are unpopular and will never be approved democratically without massive propaganda. 4. Name names Point the finger at relevant CBDC promoters. Their authoritarian scheming should be personally costly. 5. Delay Existing laws are an obstacle to CBDC implementation. Use them to delay it. Demand democratic debate, demand a vote. 6. Beware emergencies! This is the type of unpopular measure that is pushed through without debate in times of emergency. 7. Beware gifts! Free money will be used to incentivise adoption of CBDCs. Use it against them! Take that money and use it to buy Bitcoin immediately. Then remove the spyware from your devices. 8. Withhold consent! They cannot do this without your acceptance and active cooperation. Don't help them. Don't accept any changes without loud protest. Get used to saying NO. 9. Know what your fighting for! Privacy, free speech, private property, individual rights are essential to a free society. Have your answer ready when somebody asks 'why?'. 10. Use the opportunity Faced with something new, people ask questions. Be there ready to answer them and offer an alternative.

Another attempt to merge decoration and data. 50 empires in 50 centuries, but represented as trees. Olive for the west, palms for the middle and bamboo for the east. #timeline #history image

AI is making mass surveillance orders of magnitude more powerful. Before companies and governments could collect huge amounts of information, but using it was complicated. They had to focus on searching for the right keywords and then manually interpreting results. At most they could establish somewhat useful patters for advertising and enforcement in a small percentage of cases. Now AI can classify all the information in real time and act on it. Agents can sift through the mass of data, identify actionable patterns and launch a response. This can range from "this person is about to buy X, send him targeted ads" to "let's launch a drone strike on this location as there is pattern of enemy comms activity in the area". These tools will soon fall in the hands of bad actors, if they haven't already. They will be use to steal, lie and kill. The more you are exposed, the more data you leak, the more you will be a target. You may think that you have nothing to hide, but phishing will be the least of your problems if you leak information. Identity thieves can do a lot of damage with your ID and credit card information. Your medical information can be used for blackmail... or as a deadly weapon. Your tax information can put you on a target list. Your personal information can be used for social engineering, scams and targeted propaganda. Your location is very useful to predators and thieves. Your political opinions are extremely useful for politicians and bureaucrats. Your faith can be used against you. The images on your phone can now be manipulated and combined with your voice to make you say anything or do anything. Just imagine being a persecuted minority under a totalitarian regime... and now imagine that regime not only being able to hear and read everything that you do in real time, but also immediately react to it to harm you financially or physically. Try to organise with others to defend yourself? Your risk level is immediately increased and you are locked out of society and put in the digital ghetto. You are made into a non-person. At least in Orwell's 1984 the Ministry of Truth needed bureaucrats to painstakingly re-write history manually. An AI can now do it in seconds. #privacy is now more important than it ever was.

Has anyone tried to do a hybrid virtual/real conference with a virtual space that is visible in the real space and vice versa? Free tools like would seem to make it technically very easy... but of course the difficulty is social coordination. @npub1qqqq...hrhr @Gigi @Hodl Hodl @paul keating I understand that conference organisers don't want to devalue the in-person experience... but maybe seeing a lot of remote avatars participating in some of it would make it seem even more special to be there physically. image

A friend just started being very successful on instagram, on her way to a million followers. She does not know how to monetise it. I suggested that she try posting a ⚡ LN address for donations and tips. It's an easy experiment that will take her less than 5 minutes to do. If it works, my next suggestion is that she posts some exclusive content behind a zapwall with @Fanfares . Of course I will also suggest that she post notes on Nostr, although I don't know if that is an efficient use of her time... Any other ideas or suggestions?

¡Hala! Problema resuelto. De nada. 😉
