Thank you @Peter McCormack for another insightful & inspiring episode! Highly recommended audio material for anyone remotely interested in the state of the #UK and the steps needed to bring the country back on track to a prosperous future. I‘m always amazed by how much information on a broad range of topics can be contained inside one single episode when you’re interviewing knowledgeable people. Keep up the good work! I‘m already looking forward to listening to your newer (& forthcoming) episodes. Someday, maybe you can edit a book containing the central bits of knowledge from all the episodes (might become a new Encyclopedia Britannica, though) ;-) View quoted note →

Thank you for this excellent episode & for sharing your concept of the #Cathedral! It‘s a very pertinent topic but one that‘s very complicated, at least for non-agriculturalists like me. Looking forward to the next parts very much! View quoted note →

For all those out there using @ZEUS wallet as their #nostr profile deposit address, please be aware that since the introduction of the ZEUS Pay+ service a couple of weeks ago, the human-readable lightning address (BIP353) has been changed by ZEUS to a random address. This was done apparently to force users to subscribe to their service by taking away the hitherto freely chooseable address. If you don't subscribe to & pay for their service, you need to change the lightning address in your nostr profile to the new one a.s.a.p.. Otherwise, payments made to your profile/notes will not arrive in your own wallet anymore. Whether this move by ZEUS was a sensible one is another issue...

Thank you to @Jake Woodhouse for this insightful interview touching on such a broad range of topics which, however, all fit together like pieces of a puzzle. I salute your free speech approach & your willingness to discuss potentially divisive & contentious issues. IMHO that’s exactly what’s needed in today’s world! Looking forward to subsequent episodes & diving deeper into such topics. View quoted note →

Thanks for yet another great overview of today’s news! Always appreciated 🙏🏼 Regarding the last topic, from what I know there’s a payment button on your #nostr profile so anyone can pay your profile and not a specific note. And when paying, you can also add a comment. But of course, that’s on lightning, not onchain, and maybe the latter was what you were suggesting to be coded. Anyway, have a great weekend & see you on the other side of Sunday 🖖🏻 View quoted note →

Thank you to @Peter McCormack for another excellent interview! As a longtime anglophile I‘m listening to almost every one of your episodes and this one stands out in particular because it lays out some clear tactical steps to be taken in British politics to get the UK back on track to once again become a great & prosperous country. Not all‘s gold in Switzerland, btw., but I do strongly believe (as apparently does Phil, too) that the Swiss political model has many advantages in its favour and few downsides. And I would even go as far as rephrasing Sir Winston‘s quotation that „the Swiss political system is the worst on the planet with the exception of all others that have already been tried.“ Keep up the good work & consider running for public office in your town to be able to implement changes yourself. Small steps matter & everyone with good ideas should contribute to the change needed! That‘s also one of the basics in the Swiss political system 😉 View quoted note →

Excellent interview with Zia Yusuf on the state of the nation, what needs to be changed, and why Reform UK‘s the only party to tacke the changes and make the UK a prosperous & great country once again. Required listening for anyone who‘s even slightly interested in the fate of the UK and the British people. Reform UK LFG 🚀 View quoted note →

Thanks for another valuable episode & for continuously sharing your insights. I totally agree that Switzerland today is but a shadow of the country only a few decades ago. This not only applies to the financial sector btw. Politics has ruined a thriving country & nobody has to be responsible because bread & games are cheap & abundant. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. What Switzerland needs is a new movement like the Reform Party in the UK who‘s willing to change quite a lot of things & have enough guts to see the task through to completion! View quoted note →

Excellent interview with David Starkey on the state of the English nation. Highly recommended listening to anyone who‘s interested is England, the English law system, the development of law & politics, who implemented which disastrous changes, and where the problems really lie! Keep up the good work! View quoted note →
