Completed my first trade on @vexl 😎 via 2nd degree connections 🤝 #WoT Cool way to find fellow #bitcoiners but without an in-app wallet, things got a bit clunky. Wonder how this journey will be improved with projects like @Mostro? View quoted note →

Bitcoin may be the most revolutionary technology ever conceived. That’s a big statement, I know, but when you truly understand what Bitcoin is, you begin to realise the scale of impact it will have on society. A fully decentralised digital currency that combines economics, math, physics, and perhaps most profoundly, psychology. At its core, Bitcoin is an incentive structure for human flourishing. Like any major innovation, from the horse to the automobile, or candles to electric lights, it’s difficult to fathom how society will change as new innovations take hold. In this article, I’m going to attempt to tease out a few of these incentives for the inquisitive, layman entrepreneur. By the end, if I’ve done my job well, the reader will have a hint of where Bitcoin might lead and why their entrepreneurial activity might be best directed towards the Bitcoin ecosystem. @Ben Arc good talk at @BTC Prague a moment ago. Ironically, perhaps, you seemed to have argued both the thesis and antithesis on many of your points regarding the commons, capital, and the invisible hand. Was the crux of your talk to suggest we practice the Hegelian dialectic at all times - because at points in all of history we may have been right or wrong to act in the way we did at varying points? For example, at one point, the monarchy may have been the right structure for the land, to ensure its proper stewardship and prosperity. Then realising this ownership would actually be better if it were decentralised we created the Magna Carta. And for example, the invisible hand worked until we had corporations who had a duty to their customers and employees, until the stock market was created, and now we need some other structure. Thought provoking talk for sure. Just wanted to make sure I got your main (anti)thesis…😉
