For me “never spend bitcoin” sounds like never use bitcoin. It is absurd to hear it from developers and those who love #bitcoin. I can understand when you say about big volume trading/speculation, but day to day - if we want to have ecosystem we need to spend and buy with use of bitcoin. Our example will teach effectively others how to do it. So more people understand the concept, power and help to make faster adoption. Where Im wrong? #askNostr

I still think people tend to repeat after influencers in the space, as in every space… I also wonder why so many bitcoiners, especially in the EU, don’t want to defend their right politically… #bitcoin is a response for irrational and abusive political solutions, created by people for people against such abuses. But as everything in that world its protocol needs to be updated by people. It means that we should keep regulatory environment for developers, investors and users at least in the key biggest jurisdictions like US and EU as safe.

It makes sense to save it for long-term savings, but it's also great if you want to buy goods/services anonymously without insane middleman with infinite totalitarian regulations. If I can buy online services without a creditcard with bitcoin, I think that's a better option.

When people start to produce, that's the moment when they'll really spend. Spending without producing anything is lame. An off topic thing is: people have limited time in earth and is highly probable that most people who are close to senescence will spend most of their money. Therefore, I think the idea of Bitcoin not being a medium of exchange is unlikely. Shaming those who hold it doesn't work, it even raises suspicions to me
