Correct. It doesn’t download the video. Just sharing timestamped link with comment. I suppose you could make downloading work but then YouTube would come down hard on it πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Is this better than newpipe? I guess, yeah for desktop.
i opened up the console and read the logs as i was looking at pages on my fork of jumble, and there was so many logs every time the screen scrolled. i asked claude, pasting in the logs, "what is this?" it went on to explain to me all the interaction metrics you feed it and it phones home to figure out how to trick you. i was like, what the fuck. no way am i letting this poison be served up to other people on MY app. so then it became a simple button that opens a new tab. no more bullcrap now. i see plenty of videos people post now, they are blossom hosted, with zero logging, zero dialing home, open source, and the content is actually a lot better. the normies have no idea how much they are being measured to be cut up to be fed to the Machine.
i got shadowbanned for publishing a little paper about a tesla coil driven ion drive a few months back. never going back. my git.mleku.dev has filters that block their whole ip range. as a rule, if it's on youtube, and has a big audience, and is people saying political stuff, it's a limited hangout. not terrible for some fun things. nighthawkinlight makes amazing little diy home science experiments. stuff like making aircrete from stuff you can buy from a big supermarket and hardware store, perfect aircrete with up to 70% air, solid like a cinderblock but absorbs sound better than any comercial product. lime. sand. detergent. xanthan gum, sodium silicate. but so much other stuff is just a magnet to profile you. better to download it than use the page because it is practically recording every mouse movement and feeding it to an AI with DOM labels and predicting what shit to show you that will keep you watching. these people would eat your grandma if they thought they could get away with it.
