Truth is empowering for sure and it's better than blissful ignorance I'd argue. What I'm trying to understand is the path forward given that everything seems to be captured. Self sufficiency in a tight and armed community? Go back to the fiat world and pretend everything is fine?

I think the people arguing that bitcoin is captured and has failed are delusional and do not live in the real world As hard as it is we just need to be patient and keep pushing forward. Educate people about what is going on and fight for our rights to transact outside of state control. Keep the on and off ramps to privacy oriented solutions like monero and 2nd layer networks open. Also need to ensure we have alternate implementations of bitcoin so we avoid the core/knots/bip110 bullshit moving forward
Will you be able to pretend everything is fine while you're dying of prion disease or something? Self sufficiency in a tight and armed community is the obvious solution, except it's not possible until people re-learn what "obvious" means
