Depends entirely on implementation and on conviction. When the psyops start flowing and the foundations get paid to “prove” your cryptography is broken, very few people will be prepared to run the original chain. Most will fold to the narrative.
Tthe real question is:
Do you actually trust the cryptography, or are you already convinced it’s broken?
Because if you don’t have conviction now, you won’t have it when the pressure hits. And once a hard fork happens under fear, there’s no going back. We’re running out of time to decide whether we stand with verifiable physics or with unverifiable stories.

I haven’t even seen a concept of a proposal let alone an actual proposal or BIP that would cause a hard fork or chain split, just additional cryptography options. Please give an example.
Again, my stance is that there is not a need to be worried. You can just stay in Segwit if you’re worried. I think you’re grossly misinterpreting my position.
