I'm very open minded and somewhat trolling but the core of my argument is that I have diminished faith in humanity choosing better money without it being established from the top first.
Most people just do what the government says so we should have the government say things we like.

All of history is shaped by leaders who forced things. Nobody and nothing is remembered for the philosophy of "things happen on their own bro just smoke a doink and liberate us all bro".
Many leaders of past did minimal top down micromanaging and just kept peace in their territory and those societies flourished by letting markets make decisions. The more rules, regulations, taxation and top down interventions are put on a society, the more dysfunctional and retarded it becomes.
