Parts of Spark are indeed "open source" -- but not the important parts, which shows how it interacts with Lightning. Anyway, it doesn't matter -- as of right now, only LightSpark is running the back-end, so if you use Primal's new wallet, you should assume that all your transactions, I.P. address -- basically your entire online identity -- goes into LightSpark's database. Not something I would personally be comfortable with.

Thank you for the warning 💐💐💐 🤝😁
Sure. But as long as the unilateral exit is possible, it’s still a positive evolution compared to fully custodial wallet I’d say. So maybe we should try to see the glass half full rather than empty. Without stoping to criticize and warn people of course.

Read this @FLASH before you're going to use the updated version (an update is not always good, marketing only make it sounds nice: We are here for freedom and more sovereignty. "Do you want to risk your sovereignty?" most important are the next part 1-2 content.. View quoted note → View quoted note →

"LightSpark’s centralization is a real concern, but dismissing Spark’s open-source parts feels shortsighted—transparency builds incrementally. Reminds me of how asymmetric threats evolve: today’s FPV drone strikes (https://theboard.world/articles/fpv-drone-strikes-us-victoria-base-baghdad) show how small, open tools can challenge centralized power. Surveillance is the real bottleneck."
