Humans have always formed gangs to steal from each other. In order to apply anarcho-capitalism, we would all have to have a nuclear arsenal in our backyard. I don't know how long the world would last then. The theory is fine, but then there's the practice, and in practice we're not even capable of recreating Silk Road.

Deterrence works, but we'd lose a few major cities under that "nuke under every bed" system before deterrence was cuturally re-established. And another one every generation. Might still be better than the status quo. In practice, people have always banded together to oppose gangs. A certain number of professional thief-takers turn out to be thieves, but thats an administrative and judicial problem to be managed.
Hoppe's "technical problem" point implies that an ancap society would not be universal. It would be internally ancap while applying defensive exclusionary violence against non-ancaps.

That last thing sounds like a challenge
Anarcho-capitalism likely only works at the individual level. If you’re thinking about it at a large scale for everyone, you inevitably start needing to convince others to agree to your solution. And you can never get everyone to agree with you on everything. Some of the sellers on nostr that only transact in sats are able to live outside of the system with pretty good freedom. Lately I’ve been thinking that Bitcoin isn’t freedom, it’s a freedom tool.
