You don't have to be a rich go developer to build a high end nostr relay. You can host your nostr relay in a cheap, shared host with a ordinary mysql/sqlite database. Now it is possible with Phatru, a new library to build customized nostr relays in PHP, architecture is inspired by Khatru (https://github.com/fiatjaf/khatru). Go (no puns intended) check it out at

How much does a shared PHP host cost? Is it less than $3.50/mo? I don't understand why people want to use these instead of a cheap VPS that can execute any code instead, but I'm glad this option exists anyway.
