Utxo bloat is a bigger threat to node runners. Large blobs of prunable data are only a threat to people who can’t afford a bigger hard drive. Utxo bloat from 1000s of smaller transactions which bip110 encourages will mean 8gb and then soon after 16 gb nodes no longer can be reliable used.
