I feel like maybe the downfall of most social media is trying to serve as both the discover and discussion elements, especially when it costs nothing to pin one's note to a global corkboard. A mastodon instance seems like a pretty good solution if you want the online equivalent of a local/regional meetup or club. Just as most of the Nostr clients I've tried aren't very good for keeping up with posts from specific users unless I go to the trouble of saving their profile as a browser bookmark. View quoted note →
