False choice. If the borrower is servant to the lender, we can't expect the feds to fund schools in our neighborhood and not exercise influence over the cirriculum. Which probably has a lot to do with a voting public tolerant of current foreign and domestic policy. View quoted note โ†’

What's the obsession with apps anyway? Jump out of Amazon or YT for a few minutes, come back and half the time it's lost my place and sent me back to the home page. Never have this problem with my mobile browser. It can retain the page I'm on even through a phone reboot.

It's hard to feel optimistic about even the most positive developments when you've spent the last few months watching your nation's founding document and supreme law completely fail to protect the most basic human rights of an entire state's population. For Virginians, the sacred freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights rendered null and void by nothing more than a single state election cycle, and the first thing the tyrants did after taking power is set to work to ensure that their party never loses another election. What can you do when you're too small to fight back and too poor to leave? It's not like we ignored pandemic-era warnings to flee a woke city full of subway trains and skyscrapers. We live within a mile of a cow pasture and a national forest. Wherever you go, the woke mind-virus will find you. You can run but you can't hide. A few days shy of 251 years ago, a famous Virginian asked his neighbors, "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?" The 2026 response to that question is apparently a resounding "Yes!" Forbid it, Almighty God.

Grateful that ebook reader software doesn't function like social media apps, or else swiping back to the previous page would throw you all the way back to the beginning of the book.
