Did you know that castration in dogs isn’t all it was made out to be? Don’t believe the scam ! 1- dogs neutered early are low on testosterone their whole life: leading to * low muscle mass *weaker bones *weaker joints and ligaments *3 times higher chance for cruciate ligament tear 2- behavioral problems due to low position in hierarchy *insecurities *fear leading to aggression *involuntary urination when excited !! UNLESS CASTRATING FOR LEGITIMATE HEALTH CONCERNS (prostatic hyperplasia/testicular tumors), THINK TWICE ABIUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO YOUR DOG AND DONT BELIEVE THE LONG RUN SCAM!! #animals #dog #veterinarycare image

Good question! Luckily for females it’s only a few weeks every cca9 months, for males it in theory can be more persistent due to different females in the area going into heat which then drives them “crazy”. The answer is the same though: increase exercise (both mental and physical) by 20%, decrease callout intake by 20%. Of course this is just an oversimplification and a “golden rule”, but simply put, you should try engaging the dog in a lot of activity as to burn off the suppressed energy which then comes out -as you put it- as horniness. The power calorie intake will down regulate hormones and helps drastically also in pseudo pregnancies in females post heat (also a natural process) .

I'm pretty sure most pet owners neuter their pets for their own sake, not for their pet's sake. That's also why pet owners put their pets down. Their pet is shitting on the floor and can't play or cuddle anymore? Time to put it out of the owner's missery!
