I understand the frustration, and I agree that quality matters. But I also believe the BCH ecosystem grows when we encourage people to improve rather than simply push them away. More meaningful discussions, useful content, genuine experiences, and constructive feedback can help create the signal we all want to see. There is definitely room for improvement, but building a stronger community is something we can all contribute to. 💚

I don't think “GTFO” is the answer. Maybe the incentives aren't properly aligned to promote quality content, or maybe it's just a matter of time. Shitposters will eventually get bored if no one pays attention to them. From my perspective, the platform needs to mature to the point where people stop talking about the platform itself and start discussing other topics. But that’s a matter of time; for example, posts on Instagram aren’t about Instagram, because enough time has passed for people to start talking about other things. On Mastodon, people used to spend all their time talking about Mastodon and how it was better than the alternatives. After years, people started discussing a variety of topics, including personal ones. But it didn’t happen overnight. Maybe I’m wrong, but the site’s very name, “BCHNostr,” might be contributing to it being somewhat single-topic (BCH and Nostr), though I’m not sure if the name has that kind of influence.

Has anyone been able to convince people on the Telegram Bitcoin Cash (BCH) group to join a Marmot Protocol Nostr group so they're not dependent on a centralized app for communication? There are lots of great things shared there. Even if mainstream & public BCHNostr has a lot of spam, a Marmot group would allow for moderation & those of us who are here to see BCH adoption grow & the BCH protocol improve to have a nice, decentralized way to chat.
