How do we bring more quality content to Nostr?

Zaps. If you see content you enjoy, zap it with a large enough amount of sats that it would get your attention if you received it. Or zap your favorite artists consistently with smaller amounts. Not directing that comment at you specifically but at Nostr as a whole. If artists/creators feel that their work is appreciated here, they will make and post more of it. Nostr doesn’t have a huge user base, so no one is going to post here in hopes of going viral or being discovered like they would on TikTok or Youtube. But Nostr has zaps, and they’re more powerful/effective than the average user here understands.

I see what you did and it’s appreciated 🫂🙏 And yea, there’s a few ways people make money on the big platforms. Ad revenue sharing, subscriptions (paywalled content), brand deals, selling products/merchandise, tips/gifts (most similar to zaps). Most of these have eligibility requirements, such as having a minimum number of followers or minimum number of views/impressions, before they’re available to you. Nostr’s user base being small doesn’t lend it to some of those methods, but Nostr is great for direct connection and direct support, and I also see a handful of people selling products. Subscriptions might work here as well if clients were built with appropriate features/controls.

with all due respect (much respect 🫡 to you probably)…but just gonna be blunt & straightforward again… it’s not a chicken & egg problem. pretty much all of you working on nostr, the funders included, completely lack vision that’s necessary. you’re all stuck in an older world. you guys keep talking about “normies” but ill just use the same word… _you_ guys _are_ the normies…with a dose of worse than just normie. opensats shouldnt fund misogynistic nostr devs (or devs that apparently are trying to destroy bitcoin. huh? what is going on? is it fake drama to grow nostr? idunno. lol so strange.) when the participants that be do not have well-developed intuition or low level consciousness or simply dgaf (one example: misogynistic dev), nostr (and bitcoin) will simply not grow in a healthy way, if it is to grow at all.

That's great feedback, I don't really follow what opensats are doing to be honest, and Nostr does not belong to anyone. We (youe and everyone) decide how to use it and how to build on it. So if you wanna give ideas please do by all means

i follow many many many of the regular and popular nostr folk, so you just see lots of whatever comes across the feed. also, my extremely perfect, amazing, beautiful, good and great ideas to grow both nostr & bitcoin were rejected by opensats for funding. they do not have vision for growing nostr (or do not actually want to grow nostr, which is a possibility too) but i was hoping they’d do their best to research outside their tiny tiny extremely super small bubble of awareness to see how great my ideas are. my ideas were also mocked via subtweet. but i was just like, “proof of fucking normie shitheads lol” . . . i love (the idea of) nostr❣️

Opensats do their own due-diligence and spend their own funds however they think is best, nothing wrong with that. If you want you can try to post you idea on @npub1wrzg...cm02 and see if the community like it maybe you'll get funded.
