On the surface I agree with you. But I also think it is a simple template for advertising on nostr and can be useful if don’t right, and with a little more sophistication. For example, if I wanted to advertise a note maybe I’d say that anyone I follow who reposts or quotes it within the next 24 hours will get zapped x-amount of sats. Better to see ad money going to people rather than some advertising company/platform.
